''Bematistes poggei'' is a butterfly in the Nymphalidae family. It is found in Zambia, Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Tanzania, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania and Ethiopia.〔(Afrotropical Butterflies: Nymphalidae - Tribe Acraeini )〕 The habitat consists of forests and riverine thickets.
The larvae feed on ''Adenia'' and ''Vitis'' species.
